After the Blessing of Pilgrims in St Mary's on Friday afternoon, we arrived in Walsingham and made our First Visit to the Holy House at 4.30pm and regathered an hour later for Evening Prayer. Later that evening, after supper, we offered Intercessions in the Holy House and then repaired to the Bull or the Norton Room for a little liquid refreshment. On Saturday morning we made the Stations of the Cross around the Shrine gardens, and after lunch many of us walked the Holy Mile in glorious sunshine and visited the Roman Catholic Shrine where we had prayers for Christian Unity. In the evening we shared in the Pilgrim Mass and, after supper and a sermon, joined the Candlelit Procession of Our Lady, wending our way round the gardens bearing candles and singing the Walsingham Hymn. One of St Mary's Churchwardens helped to carry the image of Our Lady of Walsingham. On Sunday we joined other pilgrims and parishioners at the Parish Church for the Corpus Christi celebrations, finishing with a Procession through the churchyard and Benediction, and in the afternoon we received Sprinkling from the well and the Church's healing ministries before our Last Visit to the Holy House and a final cup of tea.
