Money raised in Christian Aid Week goes to support people of all faiths and none in over 50 countries to encourage development, to help refugees, to tackle hunger, to improve training, education, health and sanitation, to respond to the effects of climate change and natural disaster, and to give local people the tools they need to help their own communities. In 2013 £12.6 million was raised in Christian Aid Week, and each year over 300,000 volunteers push 7 million of the famous red envelopes through doors all over the country.
Could you be one of them this year? We are in desperate need of more Christian Aid collectors in Attleborough. We have a fine record in Christian Aid Week: last year just under £1400 was raised in the door-to-door collections. THANK YOU to all who gave.
To carry on, we need YOUR help. It’s all official and you’ll have the support and help you need. If you prefer to go as a pair or a small group, that’s perfectly fine. We know it’s daunting work but it’s so important. Would you help us? Please have a word with the Clergy or Enid Andrew as soon as you can so we can get organised for the best Christian Aid Week yet.
