One of the great themes of St John’s gospel is illustrated vividly in this story of an unnamed man who encounters Jesus and whose life is transformed by him.
Week 3 - 26th March - Family Values, Lazarus: John 11
Lazarus and his sisters were close friends of Jesus, but when their brother falls ill the sisters cannot understand why Jesus doesn’t come to see him.
Week 4 - 2nd April - Failure and Forgiveness, Peter: John 18:1-27
How did Peter, whose courage failed him when challenged about his relationship with Jesus, come to be “The Rock” on which the church is built?
Week 5 - 9th April - Suffering and Sacrifice, Jesus: John 19As we prepare for Holy Week we focus on Jesus himself and relationships with those present at his death.
