The Sunday Club and Youth Group from St Mary's have been spreading some Christmas cheer this weekend. On Saturday the Youth Group entertained residents at four nursing homes in the town by singing carols. It was wonderful to see the faces of the residents who enjoyed being visited and joined in with the singing. The afternoon finished with pizza and cake at the Rectory.
On Sunday, in the Parish Eucharist, the Sunday Club performed a nativity play. It was the first time in many years that St Mary's has celebrated Christmas in this way. They all had great fun in telling the Christmas Story and reminding us of the true reason we celebrate.
