A lovely day for the wedding at Norwich Cathedral.
We found a blue tit flying around in the Church this morning. When it flew into the Hall our resident Dr Doolittle, Cliff Amos, managed to rescue it. It decided it liked him! We've had a lovely time this weekend entertaining friends from the Diocese of Lulea in Sweden. After visits to Wymondham Abbey and Wilby Church on Saturday afternoon we joined together for evening prayer then a fish and chip supper. Some of the group worshipped in Attleborough this morning and some at Cloverfield in Thetford. After lunch we waved goodbye as they went off to enjoy some time in London. After a few weeks away for repairs the first part of the clock face is back. Normal service will be resumed soon! Last Sunday morning's Parish Communion was a very special one as we celebrated our Patronal Festival. We welcomed back the Choir after their summer break (which included another trip to sing Evensong at St Paul's Cathedral in London). We also had the first meeting of the new term of our Sunday Club who made wonderful finger puppets and had a lovely time.
As it was a special day we had incense and there was a new 'boat girl' to carry the incense boat. Our youngest server for many years! Doesn't she look angelic? A recent addition to the Churchyard is this beautiful hardwood bench in memory of Nora Greenacre who was Headteacher of Attleborough County Primary School in from 1931 to 1963. We're grateful to her family and hope it will provide a good place rest and enjoy the Churchyard.
