'Do Nothing, Christmas is Coming' is a short book set out like an Advent Calendar with a brief section for each day from December 1st to Christmas Day. Following up on the popular 'Do Nothing to Change your Life' Stephen Cottrell asserts that the best way to enjoy Christmas is to step away from the busyness of preparing for it. Each day contains a reflection and practical things to do (or not do).
The book is £4.99. If you would like me to order you one please give me the money (or cheque made payable to St Mary's Church, Attleborough) in an envelope by the end of the day on Sunday 16th November. Feel free to get your own copy elsewhere or download the Kindle edition for £4.47.
There will also be a Holy Communion on Tuesdays at 7.30pm during Advent. You could use this quiet service to relax in the presence of God as we prepare for the celebration of the Birth at Bethlehem. The service will last about half an hour each week - another way to escape the practical preparation for Christmas by reflecting on its true meaning.
Together we can centre ourselves on Christ as we prepare for the joyful celebration of His birth.
